With its blend of modern flair and extensive amenities, Valentina Hotel offers superb value for its price. Everything feels fresh and new, from the comfortable rooms to the chic décor and a relaxing foyer that is bathed in natural light.
Step into the foyer and the Valentina Hotel feels more expensive than the price and better than the three-star grading. Everything has been carefully designed, mixing sophisticated style with boutique flair. The foyer is a great place to rest and unwind, as is the wood-decked terrace on the roof. There is a stylish swimming pool up here as well, along with sunbeds and a cocktail bar.
The hotel was recently refurbished and doubled in size. All of the rooms feel new and come with excellent air conditioning. Some of them have a small terrace overlooking the street but note that there can be some street noise after dark as the hotel is situated in the centre of St. Julian’s Paceville. Rooms also feature an iPod dock and television as well as tea and coffee making facilities. The breakfast buffet is one of the best in St Julian’s, served on the glass mezzanine overlooking the lobby.
The 3* Valentina Hotel has a very adult atmosphere and isn’t particularly suited to families. This is an advantage for most guests and makes the hotel very popular with couples. Step outside and it’s a short walk to the sandy beach at St. George’s Bay, as well as a wonderful variety of bars, restaurants, shops and attractions.
With the morning light pouring into the foyer area, the breakfast area is the perfect place to start a day: the buffet is extensive and varied. A lounge bar also feels stylish while a contemporary restaurant serves up Mediterranean dishes nearby; guests at the hotel receive a 10% discount on meals.
Surrounded by modern wood panels and comfortable sunbeds, the rooftop swimming pool is just one of the features that makes the Valentina Hotel feel better than a three-star property. The hotel’s adult atmosphere ensure this is a quiet place to relax, even during the school holiday period.
