Location was always the defining highlight of the 3* Bugibba Hotel, allowing guests to walk to countless restaurants and shops, and easily explore everywhere in northern Malta. Since coming under new management in 2017, the hotel has added a dose of Mediterranean charm while keeping the same great value prices.
Step out from the hotel and northern Malta is at your fingertips. Hundreds of restaurants and bars are within a short walking distance. It takes less than five minutes to reach the bus terminal for making a trip to Valetta and Sliema, or soft sandy beaches like Mellieha Bay and Golden Bay. Gozo and Comino islands are a short ferry ride away while the tranquil St. Paul’s Bay is close by.
Under the new management the hotel has had an upgrade, with all the rooms now offering air conditioning, central heating and a private bathroom. Most have a private balcony and the apartments also feature a kitchenette with fridge. Free Wi-Fi is provided and the central courtyard is a nice space for a morning coffee.
Although the beach is a short walk away, the excellent outdoor pool is situated in a sun trap, surrounded by a large number of sunbeds. An indoor pool provides another space to swim and, quite uniquely to Malta, both the pools are also open throughout winter. A day of sunbathing can easily be combined with a day of culture, with attractions like Mosta Dome and St. Paul’s Islands just a few minutes away.
The Bugibba Hotel’s buffets cater for the widest possible tastes and are loved by families and senior travellers alike; the buffets are served three times a day. Complementing the food is the vintage-style Jack’s Bar, an ideal first stop before visiting the bars of Bugibba.
The outdoor swimming pool is open all year and gives off a feeling of space. It’s complemented by a small indoor swimming pool with lots of shallow water for children to swim in. There’s also a small jacuzzi and plenty of sunbeds for a lazy day in the sun.
The central location makes the Bugibba Hotel a popular choice. Within a five-minute walk you can reach the main Bugibba square, the seafront, and the bus station for day-trip travel across Malta.
